
Middle School Supply List
This year, we are excited to offer EduKit kits as a fundraiser for the Parents’ Association! Buy the Edukit items below with one easy click! Orders are due by July 2 and the kits will be delivered to your home in August. Purchasing a kit is optional; you may also choose to buy each item separately.
Please note all supplies listed here are required for each student (all-student supplies, Edukit supplies, and additional supplies). Participating in Edukits is optional. If you choose to participate, please ensure that you have purchased all supplies not provided by Edukits.
Supply Lists
Grade 5
EduKit Supplies for Grade 5
- Low odor dry erase markers (two markers)
- #2 pencils, Ticonderoga preferred (three dozen)
- Two wide-ruled composition notebooks
- One graph-paper composition notebook (note the size: 8.5 x 11”)
- Dividers (must be all-plastic; 8-tabs)
- 1” white three-ring binder with plastic sleeve on front cover
Additional Grade 5 Supplies Needed
- Zippered 2-inch, three-ring binder with a supply case inside
- This specific academic planner (Click link to order.)
- A reusable water bottle (labeled with child’s name)
- Required textbooks for English. See the required textbook list for Grade 5.
- Backpack: We recommend that backpacks include a padded space for a laptop. Please note that backpacks will be stored in lockers during the day. Avoid extremely large bags or bags with wheels.
- Instrument: All students in Grade 5 participate in the Strings program and will need a quality string instrument. Rental instruments are available through the School for a fee of $275 per year. Please complete the rental form and payment before the start of school. The School’s rental fee is significantly less expensive than other local options and provides a higher quality instrument. Rental instruments are maintained by the School.
- Instruments from home may be used with the approval of the Strings teacher, Anna Hennessy (ahennessy@stab.org). If students use an instrument from home, they should bring it to school on the first day, August 19.
- Wired Headphones (3.5 mm headphone plug or USB-C connection): Wired headphones are required so that charging is not an issue.
Grade 6
EduKit Supplies for Grade 6
- Two non-zip, 1-inch, three-ring binders
- #2 pencils (one box)
- Wide-ruled notebook paper (one pack)
- Dividers (8-tabs)
- Pencil pouch for each binder (two total)
- Low odor dry-erase markers (two markers)
- One pad of post-it notes
- 2 composition notebooks (wide-ruled)
- One pack of 3×5 lined index cards
- One pack of colored pencils
- One highlighter
- One pack of pencil erasers
Additional Grade 6 Supplies Needed
- Required textbooks for English and Spanish (if applicable). See the required book list for Grade 6.

- One Black 3-ring Binder – 2” width (divided between science/math)
- One Blue 3-ring Binder – 2” width (divided between humanities and language)
- #2 pencils (one box)
- Pencil pouch for each binder (2 total)
- One set (4 or more) of fine-tip Expo markers for math – any dark color
- One pack of post-it notes for English (if possible)
- One set (10-12) colored pencils (basic “Crayola” or store brand is fine)
Additional Grade 7 Supplies Needed
- Required books for Humanities and Spanish (if applicable). See the required book list for Grade 7.
- A scientific calculator (TI-30Xa or similar)
- An academic planner: Please use the following parameters as guidelines for the type of planner to purchase for your child. Your child’s planner should include:
- Both a monthly and a weekly calendar view
- A minimum of five lines and/or boxes for each day to record assignments for each class
- Backpack: We recommend that backpacks include a padded space for a laptop. Please note that backpacks will be stored in lockers during the day. Avoid extremely large bags or bags with wheels.
- Instrument: Grade 7 students participating in the orchestra program will need a quality string instrument. Rental instruments are available through the School for a fee of $275 per year. Please complete the rental form and payment before the start of school. The School’s rental fee is significantly less expensive than other local options and provides a higher quality instrument.
